As Wimmer’s Alliance Development Manager, I support the growth and success of our Professional Services division by owning/managing our current partnerships while evaluating potential business and technology partnership opportunities.
While there are many aspects of Wimmer Solutions that make it a very enjoyable place to work (great coworkers, commitment to community, positive attitudes and outlooks, etc.), my single favorite benefit is the flexible schedule. Having flexibility has allowed me to more easily manage the work/life balance while keeping my public service commitments, which often occur during the workday.
Outside of work, I like to split my time between outdoors activities (hunting, fishing, hiking, etc.) and working on personal inventions. I have a passion for the activities I invest my time in, yet the equipment available rarely meets my needs, so I enjoy creating products that help me overcome the
barriers I face while participating in my outdoor activities.
Alliance/Partnership roles can range from narrow to expansive. Responsibilities can fluctuate as business needs change. For those looking into or just starting out in this type of role, I suggest connecting in-person with people who are currently in similar roles. Connect with as many people as possible across as many
industries as possible and be sure to connect not only with those participating in partnerships, but those who have created and run partnership programs for others to join.
