Please describe your role at Wimmer Solutions

I’m a Technical Recruiter. My main job is sourcing and placing IT candidates in both contract and permanent positions in the Seattle and Reno area.  I establish strong relationships with candidates to make sure their credentials match job requirements and the job matches their career goals.


What are your top reasons for working at Wimmer?

The people! This is my work family! Of course, we have a job to do, but we care about each other and for me, that means a lot.  We have a lot of fun together and often spend time together outside of the office having lunch meetings or going on walks. Plus, I love that Wimmer is very active in giving back to the community.


How do you spend your time outside of work?

My family has three dogs so we love to go on walks and hiking in the Pacific Northwest. I also do volunteer work with my son for an animal rescue sanctuary.


What advice would you give someone starting their career in your role?

If you want to start a job as a recruiter, ask lots of questions and take good notes! Make sure your resume looks good when you apply for a job – you only get one chance to make a good first impression. This industry is constantly changing, be willing to change with it.
