Since 2002, Wimmer Solutions has been committed to investing in the well-being of our community in a variety of ways, from grantmaking, to employee gift matching, to skills based volunteerism, to special events, we strive to drive awareness of and engagement with issues that map to what we do – and who we are.
When I started Wimmer Solutions, I knew I had to name the company, but I wanted the name to stand for something bigger than myself. I wanted it to be known as a place that put others first, delivered results, and made the world a better place. To capture that spirit, I named it after my grandfather, Llewellyn Wimmer.
Llewellyn “Bud” Wimmer was born in 1911 in New York City. He was a tireless worker, and the principles he lived by became the bedrock of Wimmer Solutions:
1. Be known for results, never excuses.
2. Do the right thing. Especially when no one is looking.
3. The only things you can control are how hard you’re willing to work and how much you’re willing to sacrifice.
Nearly 20 years later, we’re still living those principles, and still striving to find new and better ways to serve our clients, employees and community. Every day is a new opportunity to do good work in the world.
