13 Mar Announcing the 2014 Jefferson Award Winners
Wimmer Solutions is proud to recognize community leaders in our state through Washington State’s Jefferson Awards.
Regarded as the “Nobel Prize” for public service, this award honors “unsung heroes” for their volunteerism and action to make the world a better place. Since 2013, we have partnered with Seattle City Club, Microsoft, Starbucks, Safeco, and the United Way of King County to present this prestigious award to five”unsung heroes” from Washington State, nominated by the public and selected by a panel of community and business leaders from the presenting companies and organizations.
We are thrilled to congratulate our 2014 Washington State Jefferson Award winners:
- Patt Copeland – Vision Loss Connections
- Todd McNeal – Hand in Hand
- Kevin Mincio – Team Jesse Foundation
- Ramon River – Mariachi Huenachi
- James Wilburn Jr. – NAACP Spokane
Winners will be honored at a community celebration in April, and one will represent our state at the national awards ceremony in Washington DC. Winners also receive donated services to advance their work provided by United Way and Wimmer Solutions.
